St Georges Day Parade 27th April 2008 The "Warriors" helped out at the local St Georges day parade by providing Marshalls and a leader for the parade. Big G was the flag carrier and he lead the parade, doing a very good job, the rest of us kept an eye on procceedings by walking either side of the parade. The local brass band were also in attendance, they are competition winners and do play real good music (Yes, we know it's not everybodies music!) but they do have many brass band winners trophies in there cabinet. The schools and churches walked in the parade all carrying there banners, the children loved it. I have spoken to people afterwards and they all same the same (Great, are you doing it next year ?) |

Now here is turn up for the book, both these reprobates won a prize (2nd and 3rd) for the Whitworth Duck Race which was held on New Years Day!! Both Gypsy and Tats bought Ducks (Plastic not Real ones!) in the race, which was to raise funds for future events which are be held in Whitworth and helped to be organised by the local councillor's. The revamping of events will included a St Georges Day Parade on the 27th April (Ok, we know it should be the 23rd but this is the nearest Sunday) Gypsy and Tats were presented with their cheques by local councillor Karen Rowan, Gypsy won £25:00 and Tats a cheque for £10:00 Gypsy said he lost a pound because he bought 26 ducks at a pound each, never mind, it's all in good cause Gypsy...... |

Rose and Bowl Stacksteads 2007 "Warriors" Christmas Dinner. Just a couple of pictures from the night.... We bet you all didn't know that Gypsy was really Santa in disguise! The meal is a carvery and more than enough, maybe we left some for the other diners but we had our fill as you can see ????? |
