Like most clubs, Whitworth Warriors Mcc, started life in someones kitchen, simply a couple of friends who owned bikes.
Then a couple more joined in, it was then they decided to get out of the heat in the kitchen and chose the Halfway House for the first outside venue.
Little did they know what they were starting, it's now 2008 and we are in our 5th Year.......!!!

We are a Non-political motorcycle club and have simple aims, mainly to enjoy the hobby, other biker's company, promote safe riding, good beer and hopefully to raise the awarness of needy charities.
As a club we are affiliated to MAG (Motorcycle Action Group) who take our motorcyling problems before the politicians of this country and do a splendid job of it as well.
The second and no less important group we are affiliated to is N.A.B.D. (National Association for Bikers with Disablilities)
This group will try to look after any biker that wants to ride his/her own bike with whatever disability, some of the machines they come up with leave the mind astounded, long may we support them...

See Rock Nights And Rideouts Page for more details of what we are up to!!

A list of rallies we hope to attend will also be posted, along with dates for Squires Cafe.

Whitworth Warriors MCC do attend quite a few motorcyle rallies during rally season and it has to said that some of our members do help to increase the beer sales at these very popular events..
Well, everybody has to relax sometime and what better time than amongst friends and fellow bikers..

We also give our to support local charities and this year to date (2006/2007) have raised over £3000.00.
2007/08, well, we are looking to improve on that figure and also of course improve on donations to our chosen charity....

Beneficiaries this year so far have been Millie O'Shea & Pendlebury Childrens Hospital,  Derian House, Childrens Hospice, Wythenshaw Hospital and Moorland Home plus a few pounds given out to other charitable organisations when and where we can.

Other clubs Charity events also get into our calender and we visit these, so that we can give support  and hopefully boost the monies for their chosen charities.

Most big, burly bikers are always doing something during the course of the year for one or two childrens events.

We are not always the noisy, greasy people that a lot of the world at large will have us painted..
Even though in traffic jams we do get through before the motorist and when they ask me why, my reply is always the same
"because I can" !!!

Try this link for Serious Fun !!
Ok, how did you get on, do think you can now spot a roadside camera ?????

Check out the above pictures of Airbrush Art on our LINKS PAGE, what can us as mere mortals say, except AWESOME !!!

Sunday Mornings ?

If anyone finds themselves at a loose end on Sunday Mornings, why not meet at the Dog & Partridge (Home of the "Warriors") with some other bikers and have a ride out ?
10:00am meet for a 10:30am set off, decide between yourselves where you want to go (Moorland's or Motorways)
You could if you wanted to, join up with Rochdale Roadrunners at the Jubilee !
Maybe try the Lake District or lose a few pennies in the slot machines at Blackpool on the way ?
Someone has told me summer is on it's way, so knock off those winter cobwebs
but take a rainsuit, that person may be telling porkies ?

Please, take time to check out the rest of the pages, (Menu, Top Left) you may find something of interest, if not, then let us know what your interest's are and we will see if we can oblige...

We have been asked to put this link onto the "Warriors" site and how could we refuse, even though the Hospice is in Grimsby (Just off the A16 Peaks Parkway) http://www.standrewschildrenshospice.co.uk/children_index.asp

Hopefully someone can find a way to help them raise funds.

There is we believe, a Motorcyle Charity Ride on their behalf and when details arrive, they will be posted on The Events and Ride Out page.

Please try to help if you can, or let someone know if you think they can !!!

These organisations do such a good job of care and get little or NO government help, mainly relying on the help of the public to raise the much needed capital to keep the homes open and every penny counts..... !
